Nir is a nail intelligence platform operated by Peter Kouassi, a sole proprietor doing business as Nir. Nir connects clients, nail technicians, and salon owners through AI-assisted design, booking, and outcome tracking tools.
By accessing nir.app, creating an account, or using any Nir feature, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all users: clients, nail technicians, and salon owners.
Nir provides AI-assisted design direction tools, booking infrastructure, observational nail health information, and business management tools for nail professionals. Nir does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind, and does not provide licensed nail care or beauty services.
Design directions generated by Nir are AI-created visual references intended to facilitate communication between clients and nail technicians. They are not guarantees of a specific outcome. Actual results will vary based on the technician's skills, the client's nail condition, available products, and the technician's professional judgment.
Nir uses AI vision technology to provide observational information about the appearance of nails. This observational information is NOT a medical diagnosis and is NOT a substitute for professional nail care advice or medical advice. If you have concerns about the health of your nails or skin, consult a licensed medical professional.
Nail technicians on Nir are independent licensed professionals. They are not employees of Nir. Nir is not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcome of services performed by technicians accessed through the platform.
Nir operates a marketplace connecting salons and independent technicians in two ways. In Open Chair, a technician rents space at a salon to serve their own clients and pays the salon directly. In Gigs, a salon engages a technician short-term to work the salon's clients and pays the technician directly. Technicians participate as independent contractors — not employees of Nir. Except for optional client booking deposits (which Nir processes through its payment provider), Nir does not process, hold, or disburse payments between salons and technicians. Nir facilitates matching, agreements, scheduling, completion, and a record of settlement; the salon and technician are solely responsible for paying each other and for their own tax and legal obligations. Nir is not a party to any rental or engagement agreement between them. Verification (license, insurance, and contractor status) is self-attested in order to transact; a Verified badge reflects a license review. Nir does not conduct criminal background checks, and verification is not a guarantee of safety, quality, or outcome. Detailed terms are set out in the Nail Tech Agreement and the Salon Agreement.
All platform content, software, AI models, prompts, workflows, and architecture are the property of Peter Kouassi (doing business as Nir). The design-to-booking-to-outcome workflow, the multilingual intelligence system, and the nail health observation architecture are proprietary systems. Unauthorized reproduction or reverse engineering is prohibited.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nir is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform, including dissatisfaction with nail service outcomes, reliance on AI-generated design directions or health observations, or actions of technicians or salon owners on the platform.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
